RE: SOPCAST FAQ
Hi there,

1. tell us the problem your experiencing
I have instaled correctly SopCast, but when I try to view the football matches I get the following issues:
the channels are offline.
Connecting to the channel then nothing.
Buffering up to around 40 then nothing.
Bufering up to 5-10 and nothing.
(sometimes waiting for almost entire match for buffering).
Sometimes I do get some of the match, intermittently running, very poor quality image.
Sometimes I can't even get to see the list of streams. This is all on Man Utd games and I go through all of the channel list. I have done the VLC player Open Network Stream http://localhost:8902 thing, and my windows firewall is allowing sopcast through, I've even tried it with windows defender off and the firewall off and antivirus off with no difference. Reboot does nothing, refresh does nothing, restarting internet explorer 7 does nothing, clearing the cache, history, cookies and files does nothing, also IExplorer security down as low as it will i.e. medium also has no effect.

2. whats your pc specification
The HPG5000 is not 1 year old yet and has a good spec without any other video/streaming playing issues

3. whats your internet speed and who is your net provider
ADSL 2.2Mbps minimum (although I don't believe an of these claimed speeds anymore) - provider is Nildram.

4. what anti-spyware software do you use, and is it setup properly
Avast 4.8 and yes it's set up properly.

5. what firewall do you use and have you set it up properly
Windows Firewall (Vista Home Premium SP1 fully up to date)

6. what anti virus software are you using and is it setup properly
Avast 4.8 and yes it's set up properly.

Please help.

Kind regards
Dean

RE: SOPCAST FAQ
Clear the proxy settings in your Media Player and bright IE proxy settings. We can’t play the beck if you set a proxy.

Note: Sometimes, you accept to bright the IE proxy settings, if you don’t bright it, you may not play the beck even if you accept austere the proxy in Media Player. It accept to be a bug in Microsoft’s software.

We use the P2P technology to alteration the media content. That agency if you get media agreeable from added nodes, you aswell act as a account bulge to others. If your firewall prohibit you from abutting to added nodes, you can not get the abstracts from added nodes and added nodes can not get the date from you. So amuse accessible the appropriate anchorage in your firewall. SopCast use TCP port: 3900-3920. Accessible these ports for SopCast.exe in your firewall.

RE: SOPCAST FAQ
Replace the new files with the old ones.
It seems that this fix is only temporary, the problem returns when you restart. A tvu player user wrote a small start script that copies both channel files and starts tvu player afterwards. You can download it here.
Put all the files in the same directory and create a shortcut to TVURunIt.exe.
