Premier Challenge Cup (October)

Welcome to the first ever Premier Challenge Cup.

As this is the first time this is being run it will be more longwinded than future ones as I try to explain the rules, so please persevere.

The first Premier Challenge Cup is expected to yield a prize of 90 points. If you do not want part of your point’s donation to the Premier Challenge game, to be used for this cup then please post your disapproval. Hassan, Redcanuck and I have agreed to do so, however I would prefer more members to voice their opinions (you don’t normally have a problem doing that )

At the beginning of every month 2 members will be asked to do the draw. This month Hassan and Redcanuck have kindly taken part.


As selected by Hassan the following lists the members taking part and their draw number (entrants into Gameweek1). Just like the numbered balls used to select teams in cup competitions:

7. Ticktok
8. scotstel
9. simpleman



If you’re wondering why you’re not listed, it will be because you didn’t summit an entry into the first week of the Premier Challenge game for October.

Redcanuck has selected the numbers in a random order not knowing which number relates to which member. The first two numbers will be paired together, then the next two and then the next and so on and so forth. The draw is as follows:

As we have an extra member entered for this draw, a qualifying round will be played between the first and last drawn members. The qualifying round will be between:

The competition for October will be run as follows:
NB. Qualifier 1 will use the same Gameweek1 points as the Quarter finals.

Qualifier 1 = 2. Redcanuck V 3. Huzup

Quarter finals (Gameweek1):
Game 1 = Qualifier 1 V 9. simpleman
Game 2 = 4. G Clark V 8. scotstel
Game 3 = 5. Trickster V 7. Ticktok
Game 4 = 1. dicanio V 6. Hassan

Semi Finals (Gameweek2 ):
Semi-Final 1 = Game 1 V Game 3
Semi-Final 2 = Game 2 V Game 4

Final (Gameweek3):
Final = Semi-Final 1 V Semi-Final 2

Redcanuck wins and is through to the quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals (Gameweek1):
Game 1 = Redcanuck (14) V simpleman (11)

The semi finals will line up as follows and will use the points won in Gameweek2.

Those who post in the first gameweek for that particular competition will automatically be entered. Even though you've missed this months you can still play for that monthly title and you will also be automatically entered into the League Title race.

Semi Finals (Gameweek2 ):

Semi-Final 2 = scotstel (0) V dicanio (18)

Congratulation Redcanuck and Ticktok having another chance for the final and for dicanio for making it there with an outstanding whitewash


Final (Gameweek3):
Final = Redcanuck\Ticktok V dicanio

NB: Redcanuck and Ticktoks score for gameweek 3 will count as a replay and the winner will also use gameweek 3 points for the final against dicanio. If Red and Tick still draw we will check in the following order until we get a winner: Correct guess of Gold game gameweek2, Silver game gameweek2, guess of Gold game gameweek1, Silver game gameweek1, then going backwards the winner of first gameweek in the previous months challenge.
