Messi or Rooney

i would choose rooney just because messi is prone to diving. otherwise i wud choose messi if he can clean up his act

umm it is actually between ronaldo and messi!

Rooney anyday

Messi over rooney! Messi is more mature and far less hot headed like rooney, rooney also looks like shrek which doesnt help either haha! Messi has more skill than rooney like his first touch and close control. Rooney is a better passer and long range range goal efforts he is also a leader of men tho! Messi for his sheer agility trickery and pace and his better goal scoring record over the last couple of years! Two of the best young players in the world without a doubt tho!

there is absolutely no doubt about it, i would pick messi.

even if he wouldnt be great in a new team that you had just created, you could sell him for mega-bucks and create a pretty decent team from the proceeeds hahaha!

why sell messi?! he is a great striker! he takes people on and his finishing is decent. his passing is good too. the only thing he lacks is phsical strength.(cos we all know that his technical skills are AWESOME

yes, and a team that had just started wouldnt jump straight into the premier league etc so his lack of physical strength in lower league games would be exploited to the max! although, only if anyone could get near him also, it takes more than 1 player to make a team

huh i did forget the great xavi. he had 30+ assists last season...... i guess it takes two players.lol

I'd take Rooney, Messi is probably the better player, but you need goals to win games and Rooney is the better choice from that standpoint.
