i support the Greater Manchester Police lol

scumbags there is no other word for it. i heard one supporter on the radio yesterday blaming the sunny weather for the riot as it made the rangers dehydrated.lol. the 20 odd pints had nothing to do with it.

another fan blamed the over-reaction from the Manchester police, lol. pardon me but if a group of 300 odd football hooligans(and there is no other word for it) start rampaging at a group of 4 policemen, i think the riot police are needed to sort it out.
the scottish conservatives came out and said it was an over-reaction, tell me politicians, how would you sort that situation? ask them nicely to stop and go home to the park benches that they booked online? im sorry but the only way to stop it was to fight back.

what really annoys me is the way the press are on the side of the rangers fans. here is northern ireland they had more interviews with fans who said the police used excessive force, not any mention of why the police needed force. and why that rangers and celtic matches are covered so much on our local tv, radio and newspapers is beyond me. theyre not irish teams! there is a major dispute in northern irish soccer at the moment regarding the formation of a new invitional premier league, some clubs have got in, others havent. yet the biggest sports story all week in the media and especially on UTV has been the UEFA Cup Final, they even had a special UEFA CUP FINAL CORRESPONDENT.lol.

im not saying that rangers are wankers and celtic arent. both clubs are as bad as each other. they both promote sectarianism and let it flourish by letting certain songs to be sung, players to have messages on their t-shirts. im talking about northern irish olf firm fans, their love for the club is fuelled by religion, which to me seems disgraceful. its not about the glory of scoring a goal with a marvellous 20 pass build up to it, for celtic fans its all about beatings the huns, for a rangers fan its all about beating the taigs. very sad. northern ireland would be such a better place without celtic and rangers.

and to say that it was only a minority of fans that rioted is a pointless argument, that doesnt make it ok!! in an episode of father ted he said that "if there are 100 million priests in the world and only 1% of those priests were paedophiles, then thats means theres 1 million paedophiles priests in the world" lol. yes from what we seen from the cctv cameras it seems that not all 100,000 fans were rioting, but there was a large number that did and to say that majority of fans were well behaved is missing the point that the rioting did in fact take place.

lol, if only the rangers players had the same fight in them like the fans had, maybe they wouldve won.lol

rant over

You simply cannot blame anything but the fans..

However for the Rangers fans on here and all those that are disgusted by their own fans or whatever i feel sorry for you i do, because you will be getting labeled when it aint you, its the small lot of the idiots that was there.

Yeah there were supposidly 200,000 there, but say 500 of them rioted, its really dissapointing.
Some of the people who rioted were not wearing Rangers colours though , which means it was the rangers fans also joined by random thugs. I hope people will understand that this is not what all Rangers fans are like Wink

Not necessarily.. not every fan wears their team colors to a game Alex, surely you know that, so thats just an excuse... who is saying Rangers fans are like that?

No one.. its just their are fans at every club who are like that, stop being so defensive.. because the things you are saying don't make sense mate.

RE: i support the Greater Manchester Police lol

lol fair enough, i don't blame you bud, I'd be the same if it was Rovers and your point is right in a way.. it is only a minority and i know.. out of all of them that went down there.. only a minority got into trouble..because im sure Rangers fans like yourself aren't like that. Wink

And yeah it aint fair branding all the rangers fans as idiots because it aint all of them.. but the minority that there was, was simply no need and you and the other Rangers fans agree im sure... Big Grin

Every time so called fans riot they always blame heavy handed police.
From the 70s onwards the police have always been to blame its becoming tiresome!
