Come Saturday afternoon, Cardiff City and Portsmouth will contest the F.A. Cup Final. Although fans of these clubs will be thrilled to bits, what about other fans, are they looking forward to it without a "big team." Personally, I am getting more excited now and will definetly watch the final, yet I have not been as looking forward to it, as I have in recent years. But what about you lot, are you looking forward to the cup final and will you watch it. If not why?
Ye i will, its the FA cup final at the end of the day.
Agreed. The FA cup final doesnt fill me with excitement unless Man Utd are playing. I couldnt get excited about Arsenal v Chelsea because i would want both to lose.
What is likelly, is that Pompey and Cardiff will serve up a great match, unlike matches the big 4 usually deliver.
normally a game like that would be boring, but u never know with the FA cup final
the Champions League Final - yes

errm - given that its on a Saturday, Cricket will come first - but if I had the chance, it would probably depend on Fowler playing for Cardiff - or if someone scored an equaliser from 40 yards in the final minute of the 90 to take it into extra time

quick note - last time Liverpool (one of the "big 4" or "smaller 2" as I call them) we produced a half decent FA Cup final.

I totally agree with you, i would only get excited if United were playing but i will still probably watch it, i am more excited about the Champion's League final next wednesday.
Obviously. Hopefully the SimpleBrokes bets will start flooding in for that soon.
You lot that say it aint exciting because united or Chelsea aren't in it, how can you possibly say that?
Its been superb this year with the underdogs doing well..
the cup final will be good im sure...
Oh actually, i can see what you mean, maybe you would prefer another great, thrilling , superb, excellent 1-0 win like last season?? from two teams that you would of never exprected toget there

What i am trying to say is that i am not getting excited because my team isnt in it. I will still watch it like i will do with Euro 2008 but i wont get excited for Euro 2008 because England isnt in it.
The FA Cup
has been exciting - no one can argue against that - not even me or ilikechoco

The final on the other hand - you'd (personal opinion) only watch it because it was the FA Cup final - not to watch either of the 2 teams.
As a neutral you'd (personal opinion again) want to watch United or Chelsea - whatever competition it was in.
The final may well be good - neither team wouldve dreamt of silverwear before the season so you'd expect them to grab it with both hands at this opportunity.
(Personal victory - last time Liverpool played in an FA Cup final - even Everton fans would want to watch that one again - same as our last CL and UEFA Cup finals

)
Though back to earth with a bang having lost to Barnsley (Chelsea falling to the same fate) - not really in a position to give my elitist opinions am I?
