However, Uniteds last european home game was on Wednesday 9th April 2008 when they were at home to Roma in the Quarter-Final Second Leg. They won the game 1-0 and 3-0 on aggregate. Finaly. Barcelona's last away game in Europe was on Tuesday 1st April 2008. They were away at Schalke and won 1-0 in the first leg of the Champions League Quarter-Final. Barca went on to win the tie 2-0 on aggregate.
TEAM NEWS: United hope that Wayne Rooney and Nemanja Vidic will be fit for tonight, but that is Uniteds only real injury worries. As for Barca, and they weclome back Captain Carles Puyol who will replace the suspended Rafael Marquez in defence. In addition, Midfielder Yaya Toure (ankle) is a doubt and Edmilson could replace him. Here are the Squads:
Man Utd (from): Van der Sar, Neville, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Silvestre, Evra, 0'Shea, Ronaldo, Scholes, Anderson, Hargreaves, Carrick, Giggs, Park, Fletcher, Rooney, Tevez, Kuszczak, Pique, Welbeck.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS: The last meeting between the pair came ion wednesday 23rd April 2008, when in the first leg of this tie the pair drew 0-0 at the Camp Nou. The last competitive meeting between the pair at Old Trafford came on 16th September 1998, when the pair met in the Champions League group stages. The teams shared a brillaint 3-3 draw.
MATCH FACTS: FC Barcelona and Manchester United have met eight times in a European club competition. Both clubs have won twice and four matches were drawn. The goal difference is 15-13 in favour of the Spaniards. Barca however have been knocked out by a British club in three of the last four seasons. And Man Utd have hosted spanish teams 16 times and have only been beaten twice. The Champions Cup, Cup Winners Cup and Champions League winners face Barca who have won the Champions Cup, Champions League, 4 cup winners cups, 3 Fairs cups and 2 European super cups. This is the 13th time United have reached a European semi-final, but they have been knocked out on 9 of those occasions. With Barca and this is the 23rd time they have reached a european semi-final progressing 14 times from them games. Both teams are unbeaten in Europe this season and United have not lost in Europe since last years semi-final with AC Milan. Barca are unbeaten in 12 in this competition and both teams have kept clean sheets in their last four european games.
ASHVALE32'S VIEW: This is going to be a very tight game. Yes, Barca have been struggling in the league but they are still unbeaten in Europe this year. They had the most possesion in the first leg, yet United had the best chance with Ronaldo's missed penalty. If Barca score, United have to score twice, so only 0-0 will send it to extra time. I can see a Barca early goal stunning Old Trafford, but the red devils will probably shine through if key players perform for the reds.
MY PREDICTION: 2-1 (agg: 2-1)
