Simplebrokes will post details of events they are willing to except bets on. The odds and maximum betting amounts will be detailed per event. This is purely for forum points and for a bit of fun.

Bets will only be accepted providing they can be covered by the host. For example if there are only 2500 points in the pot then only bets whose potential winning sum is less than or equal to 2500 points can\will be accepted. It will become clearer as we go on. Points will be reward for winning bets only.

Simplebrokes is also on the lookout for staff. Staff can choose their own events, odds for those events. Eventually there will be a pool of points to use to cover bets, but initially it will down to members own points. It will probably be best for you to wait to see how it goes on before applying for a position. Oh and you also get a little Simplebrokes tag for your signature to show you are a staff member.

All bets on this thread can only be conducted with Simplebrokes staff. Any bets accepted on this thread with anyone other than a Simplebrokes staff member will not be honoured by Simplebrokes . If you wish to place bets on something that isn’t sponsored by Simplebrokes please use another thread.

Simplebrokes has a website to show the form guide for special events. This can be seen at:

The first event will be the Premier Challenge. Bets will be taken for the results of weekly games. The form guide on the website shows how each member has performed over the past few weeks. Bets will be taken for the results of Gameweek2. More details are to follow, in the mean time have a look at the form guide and try and pick out your favourites.

LiveFooty Premiership Challenge
For the first event you can only bet a maximum of 50 points.
The winner will be the member(s) who selects the entrant who scores the most points for Gameweek 2 in the LiveFooty Premiership Challenge.

The odds for scotstel are 2-1. If you placed 50 points on scotstel last week you would have won 100 points.

Post your bet on this thread, I will let you know if I can cover your bet and if not I will offer you the amount I can cover. This is first come first serve so you may not be able bet the amount of points you want to. Donate points ONLY when you have had your bet confirmed. It should be clearer as we proceed.

are the odds stable? - ie, if say for example you get a whole load of votes on huzup at 6-1, will that go lower because a lot of people are betting on him - or is that just a stupid question as this aint horse racing??

2 very good questions.
1. Yes you can bet on yourselves. I wouldn't bet on me though, if ya get my drift
2. The odds may change if everyone bets on the same one. As you described if everyone tries to vote on you then I will change the odds because you've become the favourite. However first come first served, so the earlier you bet the better odds you'll get. Likewise, those without any bets on may get more competitive odds. ie 2-1 may become 3-1 etc.

How do you become a simplebrokes staff?

I've always been keen on bribery and sexual favours. Hell that's how I got on in my working life, lol.

..however
It's simple, all you have to do is ask. For now there is only two vacancies, chrise84 has been offered one, and if he accepts then there is 1 position left.
There may well be more vacancies available in the future depending on whether this turns out to be popular.
