Just thought id post this in praise to Rangers, with the tough run in they have had of late.. and still reaching the Uefa cup final and the quadruple is on now..

I watched the game tonight, and i think all throughout this competition the spirit of the team has been phenomenal just to keep going and going, and they aint had it easy at all

All you Rangers fans should be proud of your team lads.. and if any of you are going to the final, then good luck and I'll be watching cheering them on lol

They have been outstanding this season and fair play to them.

Does anyone have a negative view on the way Rangers have gone about achieving their success. Im usually a bit on the fence about this, because i consider attacking football the way forward and Rangers do not have this. On the other hand I frown at people who put down "tactical" football. Personally I do not like it, but have no problem with it being employed. After all, a team can play how they like and it is up to the opposition to beat whats put in front of them.
I understand that Rangers have had many 0-0's and won on penalties 3 times this season? (im not a big follower of scottish football, though i have followed their UEFA progress). I understand that they have employed negative tactics at home as well as away and that Rangers have their critics, not least of all Celtic and all the clubs that have been unluckily dispatched of by the Gers in the Uefa cup. The fiorentina top men have denounced their tactics today in the press, believing they deserved to go through, and of course the match facts support this but they do not matter.
My view on this is that its perfectly acceptable to play 0-0 football if you wish, but maybe other people do not agree. I would draw the line just before calling Rangers season outstanding though, there has been a large degree of luck.

Italian teams have been playing a defensive game for about sixty years. They didnt deserve to go through anyway with all ther cheating.
I think the ref had a fiorontina top under his strip They got nearly every decision.

Well Done Rangers I dont care if we played a defensive formation. The reason for this is that we dont have the players to go and attack ! Our two wide men have been out for the past month = Naismith and Burke, our first choice left back has been out for more than a year, which means papac has been moved out to left back, alan hutton was also sold in january so we dont have a right back so broadfoot has been switched in their, our first choice keeper has been injured since the first old firm at parkhead. Our two centre backs cuellar and weir have been amazing this season . And people have the cheek to say we dont deserve to be in the final.

Exactly, the best teams play to there strenghs, and Rangers have a strong defence. Every week lots of teams play attacking footbal and get well beaten
so I couldnt care less.Footballs about winning matches, a fact that some people fail to understand.

I think the pictures of Whittaker and McCoist in tears said it all. It means so much to them to get to the final. Every player on that pitch was giving 100% (except Cousin lol but he never does)

Cousin and that sending off was ridiculous, i mean fair enough he shouldn't be doing what he did.. but he barely touched him with his head!!! the slightest of taps and the Italian went divinbg to the floor.. i would be ashamed, embarrassed, the lot if i had anything to do with him.. i thought that was a disgrace!

well done rangers still going for all 4 cups they cant be that negative if we are where we are .

Already knew that bud, They are masters at it, the best defensive wise in the world are the Italians, always have been.

Rangers have got where they are though great defending, and at times yeah it might of been boring.. but they have only played like that because they have the team to do so and its worked.. it will not always work and thats why i think they need to invest in some quality upfront this summer.
