RE: Glasgow rangers
Yeah hopefully but its very hard with what is it ?? 7 first team players out !
Its so annoying that the injuries have come at the buisness end of the season. I hope thomas buffel starts on thursday he deserves a chance he has waited along time for a game, and because of the injuries he will be like a new signing if he plays good ![]()

RE: Glasgow rangers
Any club taking this to court would be a laughing stock
The fixture problem is not just RFC fault The SFA asked for 2 games to be canceled to help us (Scotland) try to qualify against Italy Celtic asked for their game to be cancelled due to the Motherwell players tragic death. RFC asked for the game against Gretna to be postponed to allow them to prepare for a big Euro.tie The only other game cancelled was because of extreme weather conditions in Glasgow and central Scotland As we are still in 4 competitions, think RFC are doing their best to clear up the backlog Remember. RFC never asked for extension. |

robroyathens Wrote:Any club taking this to court would be a laughing stock very true - and all valid points. but I tell you whats unprecendented - a football association seeing sense - using their powers, and backing their team in a European competition. It is just about impossible - and unfair to ask anyone - be it RFC, CFC or even Gretna/Motherwell - to play that many games in such a short space of time. Well done to the SFA.

RE: Glasgow rangers
Regards the extension, if they have played games after the season before than a precedent has been sent. It should be included in the rules that under extenuating circumstances an extension will be given. Twice Man United have had a back log of games at the end of the season in 91-92 when they played 5 games in about 10 days and finished second to Leeds by four points, and in 94-95 when they played 4 games in 12 days and finished one point behind Blackburn.
Some clubs are saying that an extension threatens the integrity of the competition, but surely playing all those games in so short a period at the end of a season threatens the integrity of the competition as well. .

RE: Glasgow rangers
Dont think the SPL helped RFC much when they scheduled a potencial title winning game against Ceptc between the crucial games against Fiorentina
