RE: Euro 2008 Preview

hey lol Toungue we need to have some kind of faith in England!! Smile I still love my England team although they play crappy at times. On paper we have some of the most able players and should therefore be able to play some great football. So where does it all go wrong? I have no idea, probably thinking we are better than we are lol (although we have kind of stopped that now! ..) but i hope we can improve. As long as we get the right players in their proper roles which they are best at then England should impove Smile fingers crossed!

I hope the Czech team are better for 2008. They looked really good at first during then world cup then they seemed to choke. So i think they should be stronger and more prepared for 2008

RE: Euro 2008 Preview

lol it's starts from the roots=== for example Queen Elizabeth made sure that she will attend the final world cup 2006 to watch england in it and she made a note on her calander to attend the game (she made sure no other appointments will interfer with this final to see england lifting the cup LOL )lol..if the queen acts like this with complete ARROGANCE ,why the players shouldn't ?and when they can't pruduce result(the fact is they can't !!!) then everyone trashes them
p.s england squad allways been this way I wonder why

RE: Euro 2008 Preview

Aww see thats the Queen lol, not everybody Toungue I doubt the Queen even understands or follows football so i think she just assumes that England will be in the final. Which i agree is no way to think...but hey thats the Queen!

The players used to think that they were better than they were take the world cup for example. But after the display and performance they put on they realised themsleves that they were not good enough. I think the players have toned down the arrogance now they realise they need to work hard to achieve success. I think they should play like Hargreaves. He knew that the public didnt think he was gd enough (yes i know typical english arrogance...(although i think he is an amazing player Smile )) so he played extra hard like each game was his last. And from that has become one of the best England players we have. I think some of the players need to realise how lucky they are to be playing for England and to give each game their all, and not just think that England can win, because your right they cant if they dont put the effort in.

But you got to admit that England have toned the arrogance down abit now Smile?

LOL GOD SAVE THE QUEEN lol

it doesnt mater if they reduce the arrogance what's is matter is to make a good national team from all there players and to be "connected " some how when it comes to the national team the players does not connect they might be good at there team but not in the national team they need to work at this and i bet a full time shrink his working with them day and night including the mgr.

RE: Euro 2008 Preview

lol Smile yes what makes a good team is the players being comfortable in the postion they are playing in as well as being comfortable with the other players , as people can adapt and change to the surroundings and the various styles of playing going on around them. lol slightly off topic arent we? Well to make it back on topic, if England can resolve the problems the team is currently facing i think they can improve for the 2008 games (if they make it through qualifying that is) Although England is looking slightly better after the draw with Holland Smile

RE: Euro 2008 Preview

i agree players should improve and they should !! they are recieving
it in a mental way through the shrink and they reciving it in a practical way through the practices in the field. so logic say they should improve and we shall see results .but lets not expect them to improve 100% allready, it will take time slowly but surely ,and lets not be dissapoined if they will not meet there loyal fans expectations from them....POOR ENGLALD FANS they been suffering for along long time but they continue to sing god save the queen ..and I guess they should .they need someone to save them from there missery...

RE: Euro 2008 Preview

aww lol! Ever heard of the saying its not the winning, its the taking part Wink I guess England fans have learned to cope with some disappointment over the years, but the real good thing is that we still support England and dont turn our backs on the National Team no matter how crap they play at times (although yes we do moan...alot about it! Smile ) So i think England fans will still continue to sing 'God save the Queen' and get out the flags and banners out for any major footballing event much to the annoyance of every other non england supporting football fan Big Grin haha Patriotism....dont you just love it Big Grin

RE: Euro 2008 Preview

offecourse i just love it .but i guess its not fair to talk to a dissapointed english fans while i am not one of them ,so offcourse there will be clashes and it's normal, but this is football -one day we are happy with our team and one day we are sad.this is life but english team fans been sad for along long time and i hope for them that they will be able to see a light in the tunnel the question is if the light is in there .... .but i agree a loyal fan should stick with the team till death and continue to sing .on the other hand fans have emotions and when they are not happy somehow they take there frustations in other way is that why the english fans have a stigma of being a hooligans?.... good question

RE: Euro 2008 Preview

yes i hate that stereotypicalised view of english fans thats we are all hooligans, which in the majority of cases is untrue. Fair enough there is the odd few nutters who like to take their views too far but thats not everyone. I guess the same could be said for most other countires, probably just because england is more well known for hooligans. Although this is decling in England, however the same cannot be said for other countries like Germany, from what i have seen on TV etc.

Your right some days are good days for fans, others not so great i think thats part of being a football fan you got to take the good with the bad. Not everything in life is plain simple Smile
