I live in valencia and often go to watch games, he is a quality striker theres no doubt about it. But I don't think villa would want to leave valencia for chelsea, unless their was a BIG wage offer beacuase he loves it at valencia. While we are on the topic of Valencia players i was eating my lunch in a restraunt on Valencia beach last week and cañizares was sitting a few tables behind me lol.

Obviously he is not worth that much but he has a contract clause that says he cannot leave for less that £100m, so if chelsea don't want to pay £100m they will have to wait until his contract is up in 2013!

This is a joke thread right?
Of course Grant has promised to play "attacking football" and he hasnt had his chance to buy the players he wants, hasnt had the chance to stamp his face on the team, so to speak.
He will have to be backed with funds in Jan or end of season to go out and buy the players he thinks he needs. If Villa is one, and he can only be got for 100 mil, then so be it. If Abramovich backs his man as he says he does, then 100 million is nothing. Though, if he turns out not to be worth it.......
