RE: Champions League Semi Finals 2008

Barca have been very unpredictable lately and turned in another dismal display as they were beaten 2-0 by Deportivo, Frank Rijkaard could be shown the door at the end of the season and i will be surprised if he isnt! I expect barca to come to old trafford and score though and i think they will maybe just sneak into the final. Chelsea are in the driving seat in the tie and after beating man utd on saturday they will be on a massive high and will go into the match full of confidence, even with liverpool drawing away at birmingham they should the determination and grit to come back and rescue a point. We all know what liverpool can unravel on the champions league stage but i suspect chelsea will have just to much for them on the night Smile

I have a feeling they will sneak it..they've already lost out in the league, we knew that weeks ago.

Yeah they have the incentive that now the league has been won by Real Madrid this is the only competition they can win, so they will be right up for this one SmileSmile

Yep, thats what i mean.. they might be out of the league but they have the quality to beat any team.

RE: Champions League Semi Finals 2008

I think that Frank Rijkaard will opt to play an attacking formation tonight. If Messi and Eto and co. step up to there game it will be an pulsating contest. I think that Rooney is injured and will not feature which is a massive blow for United. If Barca can keep Ronaldo quiet like what they did in the Nou Camp then I will take the Catalans for this one. But everyone knows what United can do in the League and The Champions eg. Beating Newcastle 6-0 and Roma 7-1 when it mattered. Barca are off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Depertivo but that is maybe a bad thing for United as it will mean Barca can't afford to lose tonight. And don't forget that Man U will start this game on a low after losing ground on Chelsea.
