Just thought id do a thread on who you lot think the best boxer of all time is..

I'll do a poll and i think they are realistic options if you know what you are talking about you will know what i mean.

For me the ones i have mentioned are great... but there will never be anyone as good as Ali, he was superb.. i am soo gutted i was not alive at that time to watch him live.. what a legend he really is.

Lennox Lewis not up their in that catogary?? lol he was my favourite some time ago lol, Mohamed Ali probaby the best of all time though

yeah well the best of lennox lewis era was tyson at his best.. no one could of beat him at that point thats why i didn't put lewis up

For me the best pound for pound of all time was Sugar Ray Robinson.

Robinson was named the greatest fighter of the 20th century by the Associated Press, and the greatest boxer in history by ESPN.com in 2007. The Ring magazine rated him the best pound for pound boxer of all-time in 1997, and its "Fighter of the Decade" for the 1950s. Muhammad Ali, who repeatedly called himself "The Greatest" throughout his career, ranked Robinson as the greatest pound for pound boxer of all time. Other Hall of Fame boxers such as Joe Louis and Sugar Ray Leonard have said the same.

Yeah.. i love the guy.. him and Hatton are my fave boxers of all time.. he might not of been English but i admire the guy..
