Well we can add another 147 to the pot, with Ali Carter getting one against Peter Ebdon. He had to hold his nerve with the final pink and a longish black, but he did really well. I have always liked Carter and think that he will one day win the World Championships. It has been a great tournament so far, and the quarter-finals are shaping up well. Ronnie is getting a good game off the young chinese kid, Perry v Maquire and Ebdon v Carter are tight games whereas Hendry seems to be finding some of his old form. Hopefully the standard will continue as it would mean a cracking last couple of days from Sheffield.

nicely put ash. and your right it is a cracking tournement and theres been a few shocks this year, should only continue to get better as it gets closer to the final.

i bet ronnie will be happy, having to split the maximum prize money with ali carter.

2 maximum breaks in one tourney for the first time ever

the odds on a third maximum break at this years tournement have been cut from 200/1 to 7/4. who knows what could happen

Ebdon just missed the last black before the colors on a 147 then Carter gets one staight after.. lol Also Hednry was the last red off one lol

So yeah who knows what could happen.. but being just under 2/1 is awful lol
