RE: 2007-2008 Championship

First Charlton sell Luke Young to boro and now Ajax have signed Charlton winger Dennis Rommedahl for £1million.

What does these sales do to Charlton chances of wining the Championship?

I think that they are still reasonably high, though i would say they now face some tough competetion from Leicester City, as they have made some good signingings.

Id like Leicester, Preston, West Brom or Hull to get promoted.

RE: 2007-2008 Championship

I think there were a lot of surprises this weekend. Half the games ended with away victories. That is huge percentage.

Cardiff 0 Stoke 1
Wolves 1 Watford 2
Barnsley 1 Coventry 4
Southampton 1 Crystal Palace 4
Hull 2 Plymouth 3
Leicester 0 Blackpool 1

Cardiff and Leicester had spent a lot of money and got surprised at home, although Stoke had a great season last year and I like what Blackpool is doing, I thinks that 13 wins in a row. Bringing back memories of Matthews and Mortensen and of Jimmy Armfield and Alan Ball. I was shocked by Southampton getting beat so badly at home, they had to be one of the favourites to go up.

The three teams that came down from the Premier did not have it easy. Wolves dominated Watford then two defensive blunders allowed two late goals that gifted a 2-1 win to Watford at Molineux. While both Charlton and Sheffield United were held at home against teams they should ahve beat.

Charlton 1 Scunthorpe 1
Sheff Utd 2 Colchester 2

The only other game to note for me was Ipswich/Sheffield Wednesday. This game was over quick three down in side of 25 minutes. Looked like Wednesday did know the season had started. But they may have the best manager in the division in Laws and should bounce back
